Position:  Senior Network Engineer

Job description:

In my current position with Best Buy I run the South Florida Business territory. The territory spans from Key West Florida to Orlando Florida. I manage 15 Network Engineers. My job roles consist of the following activities. Reviewing the site surveys, designing and implementing an IT infrastructure either from scratch or upgrading current assets. Assigning and managing the resources assigned to complete the project. Taking the role of lead engineer on the more complex jobs and completing the jobs with the other engineers. I then provide support and maintenance on a ongoing basis. The networks that I designed and implemented for our clients could be as simple as a single windows 2003 active directory server and 5 users, to multiple servers with 1000 users and Unix proxy servers.

Position:  Network security analyst

Job description:

                I worked as a consultant for Absolute Innovations. My primary duties were to Interview customers and find out what the business needs were and analyze their current IT infrastructure. This included running a physical inventory of all network equipment such as switches, routers, and cabling.  Observe and note physical security of servers and critical data structures, and observe network operation. I then delivered a security analysis report. which showed the Client areas where they could implement data safeguards, fix security holes, as well as upgrading any and all necessary IT infrastructure to meet current business needs. This data was then sent to the customer along with figures on Return on investment of new upgrades, total cost of operation and other figures. I also enhanced security and designed SOP, standard operating procedures for security of the network and data.
